A truly fun game for both kids and adults!

User Rating: 8.8 | LEGO Star Wars GC
Lego Star Wars is a fun little game that, while staying pretty true to the movies, also has its own story style that Star Wars fans can still appreciate. Here's how I think this game stacks up:

Gameplay: I love how this game combines a very strong puzzle aspect with a nice fighting aspect that Star Wars is known for. Although it's fun to work at unlocking the long list of characters in the game to use in free play, there seems to be little fun in using these characters. The real fun occurs when using the Jedi characters. You know, the ones with the lightsabers. There just seems to be more satisfaction when you use the famous light sword to kill something than it does to use a common blaster seen in many a sci-fi video game. The puzzle solving is also creative, often using more characters than just the character you choose to solve them. The only thing I really don't like is how short the game is. It only took me 3 hours to beat and was fairly easy due to the fact that it's pretty much impossible to die. But it's still one of most creative games I've seen in a while. 9/10

Graphics: The graphics on the Gamecube are pretty nice, but nothing compared to other consoles. Still, no big complaints, but the characters expressions look really strange graphically on the Gamecube. 8/10

Sound: The music in this game is fantastic! The only thing that will leave you confused are the strange sounds made by some of these characters. Still, the music makes up for all those weird sounds. 8/10

Value: Thank the lord for the Free Play mode, because if it wasn't there, this game would not have any replay value whatsoever. Free Play mode allows you to play through any completed level with the character of your choice that you have unlocked. As for the price, trust me, it's worth it. 9/10
