When your thinking LEGO, your thinking the game is not even worth rent, but this game is a whole different story!

User Rating: 8.5 | LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga WII
LEGO: Star Wars the Complete Saga is surprisingly very enjoyable and fun game. I will start off to tell you I am 33 years old, and if I enjoyed the game, I am sure many of you will as well. Its not only that Star Wars has such a good reputation already from the start, but how the game is developed and how the game is put together is truly what makes this game really fun.

The story of this game is basically exactly like the movie, but what is neat about this game is that its not like other "movie-games". When we look at Spiderman or Superman games, the ratings just go down the drain, but LEGO Star Wars really changes the stereotype that "movie-games" suck. There are 6 episodes in Star Wars, so you better believe that there are going to be 6 episodes to play in the game. But that's not it….there is more. Within these 6 episodes, there are 6 chapters to play in. So your looking at about 36 levels to play. These levels are all action packed and can be really easy if you just want to complete the game quickly, or can be quite challenging if you want to get the 100% completion of the game.

Even with these 36 storyline levels, you have about another 6 bonus levels that are quite unique, one of them including a whole town made out of LEGOS that you can destroy entirely and gain points. So with all these levels being completed, you already have roughly around 5 hours of gameplay. From here on, LEGO Star Wars really gets fun. After you completed all the levels, and unlocked some of the characters you are given the opportunity to play each level again but with your choice of a character that you have unlocked. This mode is called Free Play which will let you choose a character and give you a set of characters along with it. With these set of characters and your chosen one you will be able to collect all the collectibles in the level to get even more characters to purchase, and extras (power ups) to purchase as well.

With so much extra content to gain from the game rather then just slashing your way through each level, LEGO Star Wars the Complete Saga can give you between 40-100 hours of gameplay. Then after you finished all the levels and collected all the collectibles, the game even takes it a step further by giving you a chance to play challenging time challenges or each level which will just give you more completion points towards getting 100%, as well as money which will let you buy all of the extras (power ups) and characters to play with in the shop.

Characters in this game range throughout the Star Wars universe. You can play anything from a JedI Master such as Yoda, to a Sith Lord such as The Emperor or Darth Vader. Droids, Ewoks, Clones, Bounty Hunters and many other special characters are playable to for you to unlock and use in the game after they have been purchased with the money you have gained from completing levels, time challenges, and collectibles. After unlocking all the characters and extras you can really just increase your money to billions of coins with the x2, x4, x6, x8, and x10 extra which are available for purchase at high costs of coins. At this point you can really say that you have gotten everything out of this game.

All the great music from the Star Wars series is present in the game, the visuals are great, the controls for the Wii are well formed, and gameplay is just fantastic. Making this game a solid 8.5/10 it would have been great if the game would have expanded a little more. Of course you can use all the characters you want, play all the levels you want, but a good online play mode would have been a great addition to the game. Seeing the fact that half the game was copy and pasted from the original LEGO Star Wars game, the game really cant deserve a 10. If a little bit of Star Wars the Force Unleashed could have been put into this game, maybe this game could have had the potential to be a 10.0 game, but nevertheless the game is still worth buying, and will keep you playing for quite some time if you want to get everything out of this game.

Gandalf makes the wise decision of giving this game a 8.5!
