I hate puzzle solving in games and have only played 1 other Lego game, so I might buy this...

LEGO games are another thing that need to die. They're just so freaking many....

Personally, I think Lego Pirates will be better on the 3DS. But that's just my opinion.

Wow. This reviewer really could've taken 1 minute to say it all. He just kept repeating himself. It's like when you had to write a 500 word essay and you just go on and on with filler content. Plus he seemed more invested in HOW he said it, rather than WHAT was said. I give this review a 5.0.

Hmm I have to say: as someone who has never played the other Lego Star Wars games this review really didn't help me much. I would have liked to see a more objective view of the game rather than the repeating comment of "it's like the old ones, but not as good." That comparison doesn't mean anything to someone like me.

It's odd that I haven't seen a review that mentions the constant freezing. I've never played a cartridge game that freezes as much as this thing. It doesn't live up to the first two, and so what if it's for kids? Kids shouldn't have to think? I'm pretty disappointed in this one as well.

@ Gherkinator @ Bretonultimate1 This guy seems to go through phases. He'll give a decent review to some games, then he gets into this phase where all he does in the review is say the same thing over and over, harping on the one thing he doesn't like.He did the same thing with Super Scribblenauts, where he even complained about a puzzle not working. When I tried it his way,it worked perfectly. He was just rambling about the handful of things he didn't like, excluding all the new stuff. For this one,he made no mention of the control changes for the 3DS version, which I thought looked quite promising. He made no mention of the quirky humor that gets even my 40 something year old dad to chuckle. His one complaint was that it was exactly what it set out to be.A Lego Star Wars game.

@Gherkinator THANK YOU I was thinking the same thing. This review really frustrated me.

Parents: don't by the 3DS, it will make your kids go blind

This review focused on one point: the game has not evolved. I would have liked to have seen a few more points made than just a reiteration of the same point over and over again.

I knew eventually this series would get tired. Kinda doubt they'll change things up to make more interesting and fun again.

Kids are so stupid today they have to solve the puzzles for you.

Does Tom realise it's a game for kids?

First of all, this reviewer sucks, he makes the best things look terrible, second, it seems that he tries to find every con instead of finding pros, third, if you watch the clone wars series, you know there won't be any surprises.

@darkassassin911 The best 3d of a launch title: Ridge Racer. Best game (opinion) Street Fighter to your question " do u think the devs just rushed the game so they can make it for launch day?? " yes, some of these games would not sell well at all if they were not launch titles.

Starfox 64 is better because you can do barrel rolls!

what a stupid review! hello! of course we know the story! its all about fun and graphics...how can there be surprises??? the graphics on the 360 are beautiful..much improved. gamespot your reviews dont make sense.

looks as good as the past 2 lego star wars games.....

Also i should mention: if you look back at the 360 or ps3 launch lineups, they were just as bad if not worse.

@theJBlounge street fighter is great, really shows off the great graphics the 3ds is capable of, zelda, starfox, mario kart, and animal crossing are coming out far sooner than a new 3ds. Most web sites are predicting that they will not release a 3ds "light" for at least a year. Just like the wii, if the console is extremely successful, there is no point spending money redesigning it.

@EdibleFood: rly, if it as you say and better titles are to be launched, then I might just get it but I'm not too sure. I mean the 3DS definitely has a lot of potential but that means nothing if it is no fully exploited... Did you buy a 3DS?? If you do and own one of these games (i.e. Lego Star Wars, Steel Diver, etc) do u think the devs just rushed the game so they can make it for launch day?? Thanks!

It's not surprising that most of the reviews so far for the 3DS launch have been pretty mediocre. EVERY launch for a system/handheld has been pretty much like this. Give it some time people, there will be great games.

@EdibleFood @darkassassin911 The DS at least had a Super Mario 64 port to show off the hardware. I think a lot of us are surprised they couldn't get Zelda OoT done in time for launch. I thought the hook was to play Zelda/Star Fox/Mario Kart on the 3DS. But who cares, a millions are gonna buy it in the launch window while the rest of us will wait for the inevitable "3DS Lite" lol.

Well i can't say that this review was a surprise, but the fact that the flying sections is good news, cus if Lego Star Wars had good flight section I can only imagine how cool Starfox is gonna be.

@darkassassin911 the original ds launch was bad too, a lot of great 3ds games are scheduled to be released in june. Paper Mario, zelda, starfox, kid icarus, resident evil, mario kart, and animal crossing, all have June-August release dates. Nintendo should have waited to release it with a great game, but i think it is still worth buying for all of the good games coming out later this year. MGS3 EFOHWEO yeah

See, if this was Lego Harry Potter, or Lego Batman, or something I can relate to I would've bought this. But I've never watched any Star Wars movie so I'll pass.

I have enjoyed past lego games, but I would much rather see a battle front game on the 3ds. So many good memories on the ps2 with the battlefront series!

Wow, I wanted to buy a 3DS but most of the games right now have fair-mediocre reviews. Maybe they rushed some games but I dont know, if no amazing games come up for the 3DS, I might just spend my money on PS3 and PC games. Im dissapointed :( The 3DS has a lot of potential

Sounds like a typical Lego affair. I played the demo on the 360, and I think I'm really tired of the Lego games by now.

He's knocking it for being another LEGO game and being too easy. If you like all the other LEGO games, this one will be worth your time.

i was really looking forward to this game. it looks like every game for the launch is getting 7 or lower.
