Well, it has been almost a year since Lego Star Wars of Awesome came out for all three consoles. Now we have the new installment with Lego Star Wars 2 The Original Trilogy. Personally, I absolutely loved the original game, so even though I do bring some bias into this review I still think that overall this is a solid sequel. Now for the people that haven't bought this game already this review is for you!! First lets discuss the two most important elements of a game... it's gameplay and "fun factor." The gameplay thou solid and easy to use, does suffer from the dreaded repetition disease. After the first couple of chapters, you will have completely mastered the gameplay mechanics and seen all its bells and whistles. So why doesn't this game get a 6 or even 5 for gameplay ?? It's simple, the gameplay that is in the game, is extremely easy to use so your going to basically jump right into what makes the game so amazing... the fun factor, sound and humor. This game is great to just pick up and play for a couple of hours and just have a hell of a good time. So if the game is played in small little fun chunks then the gameplay isn't over used to the point of endless repetition. This games ability to express all three original movies in such a light hearted, funny way is simply breathe taking. This is a true video game... because the gameplay is short but sweet and easy to use. This game represents all that was great with the NES - SNES days. Simple yea fun games that go beyond the norms. How long will this game take you to beat?? Well thats completely up to you!! How long did Super Mario Bros take?? Or the Legend of Zelda... ten minutes or 10 hours it pretty much depends on how much time your willing to put into the game. If you want to completely unlock everything and have the game 110 percent completely then its how every long that takes you. If you want to just rush through the game and not truly grasp the essence of this game, well then your no hurting anyone but yourself!!
