LEGO's first video game is no exception from the others.

Now in 1997, LEGO's were hitting the mainstream, as well as video games. So when Mindscape made a LEGO based video game, it was honestly a pleasant surprise.

Now there's no significant plot, but the game did come with a comic book. Part of it tells the history of LEGO Island. The Infomaniac was the very first kid who played with the very first LEGO. He then built the Brickster, who was supposedly his best friend. Until the Infomaniac told Brickster that he was going to build another friend, then he went nuts, and went on an rampage to makes his island, Ogel. Later, the people of LEGO Island have finally caught the Brickster and he is in prison to this day, well, until you let him out.

You play as 5 different characters from the LEGO series, each with their own abilities. You go on different missions, and each mission is slightly different for each character, giving this game lots of replay value.

The voices are perfect. They really match the nature and feeling of the characters. The soundtrack is top-notch, the only exceptions are the theme song (or "LEGO" as all the song says) and "Brick by Brick." The graphics aren't exactly "breath taking" but they weren't very bad either.

TT games are good, but remember back in the old days when Mindscape was still around. This I consider th best Lego game. You should definitely get it.
