The prequel to the amazing Lego City Undercover for the Wii U. Don't go chasing after it or you will have a bad time.

I had high hopes for this game. I had just finished Lego City Undercover for the Wii U when this game came out. Following the high of getting a 100% completion on the last game I couldn't wait to play its prequel on the 3DS. What I ended up getting was a really watered down version of the last game. The quests aren't nearly as fun, the game mechanics are a little broken especially when it comes to platforming. Some cars handled like they were on ice and I just spun cookies instead of driving straight. The graphics were also disappointing where you saw a lot of bugs and glitches and the 3D parts really weren't very 3D at all.
The worst part was trying to find the post cards. Your handy scanner could find everything in the game except for those. You could find pigs, aliens and even bad guys roughing up poor Lego women under the train tracks, but if you wanted to find a view finder to take a photo for a postcard it was very frustrating.
The games length is pretty good mainly due to the fact that you might spend a good 7 hours looking for those postcards. I finished the game at 100% with 22 hours of game play.

Best Gaming Moment: When I scanned my first Alien and saw the Men in Black beam it away.

Worst Gaming Moment: Spending an entire day fruitlessly looking for the Cherry Tree Hills Postcard #4. I'm still mad about it.

Final Judgement: I wouldn't even recommend this for little kids. If you are a huge fan of Lego games like me, I suggest renting it and just passing the story mode. You don't get anything great for earning the 100% and it's frustrating as heck trying to get that 100%.
