Simplicity at its finest!
The graphics are good, but not great, and the game-play mechanics are incredibly basic, yet perfectly implemented. What really makes this game shine is the atmosphere and the fantastic puzzles. Some of the puzzles are extremely difficult and will really wrack your brain. I encourage you not to cheat yourself by looking for solutions online but take the time to challenge your mind and work through them on your own, you'll be glad you did.
The combat and character progression is very simple compared to most rpg's out today, yet it works very well. You get to build a 4 character party to start the game with your choice of four races and three standard classes(fighter, mage, rouge). While this might feel a bit limiting to some rpg fans I found it quite enjoyable customizing and leveling up my different parties, and there are quite a few choices when it comes to individual skills and traits
And honestly I'd have to say this is one of the best deals in gaming today. You can purchase this game for 15 bucks on steam and if you keep your eyes out for sales like i do you'll get it for much cheaper than that. And while the main game will probably only take you 15 to 20 hours at most there is a great deal of user created content that is following the recent release of the dungeon editor, and some of it is fantastic. Just check out the steam workshop to see all the community additions that are being made to this game, and you'll see that replay value is going to be off the charts, not to mention that AlmostHuman reportedly has its own additional dungeons in the works. So if this type of game appeals to you in the least do yourself a favor and buy it now :)
