Its one thing to kill your enemies, but Raziel takes it to a whole new level by feeding on their souls!

This game was one of the most interesting that I've played. You're playing as a vampire searching for revenge against the guy whose left him horribly disfigured. Except this vampire doesn't feed on blood to survive...he feeds on souls of the recently departed! If that's not crazy enough, he can shift between the physical realm and the spiritual realm. This isn't just some cool feature to toy with but it becomes an important game mechanic to proceed further into the game. Its also important to absorb the souls of those you kill because if you don't, they'll transform into more powerful foes if you shift to the spiritual realm. It was also fun beating the crap out of enemies with spears and then impaling them. Back during the game's initial release, it was pretty awesome!

My Break Down:

What's Good:

- Graphics for its time
- Unique methods of killing enemies
- The story was pretty interesting
- Realm shifting

What's Not-So-Good:

- The pace of the game can be uneven. You can go awhile without fighting a single foe

What's Bad:

- Knowing what to do or where to go next! The game can be very vague on this.

In all, this is definately one of the better games that I owned for the PSX and would recommend for anyone looking to take a nostagic visit to Playstation's roots. I'd just advise them to have plenty of patience and a FAQ handy when playing the game.
