I can't fathom how Defiance got a 6.9, it is an amazing game in every way. I skimmed the review and as far as the points the reviewer made there is only one that is even legitimate, the camera has gotten in my way a few times. It has never screwed up a jump, made me lose a fight, or been more then a small annoyance for a second. The combat is as good as DMC, not in that there are as many combos but it is fun, it may not be loaded with combos but it has them and it is entertaining to kill people with them. The Telekinesis is also great and I suppose if you don’t use TK right it would seem useless, but if you use it to throw enemies into spikes, walls, fire, other enemies, off cliffs, well then it becomes very useful. Now the story, expecting you to have played the other games isn’t that big of a deal, did the reviewer honestly expect them to recap the 4 previous games in the introduction? That’s a bit ridiculous. Also there are recaps of the previous stories on the Defiance disk, I think in options or extras, I can’t recall. The characters while similar are not identical, there are actually a good number of differences more then I feel like going into, if you play it you will know how they differ and I assure you its more then just how they go through metal gates and open doors. It’s a truly fantastic game in every way, great graphics, fun game play, nice puzzles, awesome story... What do they want the game to do to make it good? It’s a great game, ignore GS's review it is inaccurate. Use the reader score; it’s usually more accurate anyway.
