Grenade launcher, anyone?
Well I'm sorry that not every gamer has mad skills. Maybe that guy is playing just for fun like games should be played!
@the_dude77 The shove is not useless in the sequel and wasn't excluded by Valve. Go watch some of the other L4D II vids and you'll see players can still shove the zombies, and the noob doing the demo DOES shove zombies. How cool and realistic was it in the first L4D that you could get yourself into a corner surrounded by common undead and bat them away with the gun butt until the cows came home and only suffer marginal damage until a special came along? Sheesh... I swear some people would find problems with every game ever made unless they made it themselves... I tell you what - If I ever find some portal to a dimension full of zombies I'll give you a call and let YOU do the beta run-through. Then you can tell me what content needs to be included or excluded for the sake of realism. Deal?
why do they let noobs test ??? not exactly a good showcase give meeeee a go im already creaming my pants for this
This game is so disappointing, there's barely any upgrade from Left 4 dead. They should of waited two years at least. They should of just made a $30 expansion with new campaigns and new weapons. Graphics are pretty much the same
ok the gamer isnt that good... but the game is gonna be blazing! btw didnt u find this puke/hurt affect on the screen while the zombies hit the player kinda odd!!!?
The grenade launcher does not look that effective. Either that, the person with it just was not that good at using it.
i think that we should stop b1tching and play it first before we make any " ASSUMPTIONS" we dont know what they are doing with what..... they stopped shove spams and the turret glitch with updates fools! so i think they can fix any bad habits in this one too. personally i think valve have got quite alot more experience making multiplayer games then about 99% people here plus expert is f-ing hard no matter how good a team you have..unless you a total dork which can play this blindfolded with a thumb up your a55!! (cant wait to see what people have to say about this comment) xD
@the_dude77 Posted Oct 8, 2009 6:29 pm GMT what the hell are you thinking valve? I mean come on...things are getting waaaaay too easy for the survivors. In L4D a good survivor team owned no matter how good were the infected (both versus and expert co-op). But now meele weapons (which suck in my opinion since they make the AWESOME shove useless...who wants to knock zombies back when they can kill them), lots of weapons and GRENADE LAUNCHERS??? I really hope the tank won't be knocked back by the explosion from launcher because then survivors will just spam that and tank won't have a chance. People will say "F*** YOU! meele and heavy weaps are cool". Maybe. I agree. In some other game. This is Left 4 Dead. This should be hard. Normal people on the street don't know how to use them. It's enough they have god-like hip fire accuracy. Why not stop there? modded game would help lol
also i think a few people have failed to notice that whoever is playing, is playing with bots (notice the actual character names and not gamertags) that would be the reason for the crappy team!
well at least the grenade launcher doesnt look too over-powered...but I imagine in the right hands it could be a beast
*sigh* great heavy weapons lets take some of the realism I enjoyed of the first one and remove it. Im afraid that they are gonna run this series into the ground (like Halo?), soon everyone and their mom will be playing this :(

@ Classic821 Lol that was so random I'm laughing about it (in reference to your Red Faction sticky bomb quote).
@BaLLz_ON_FiRE, I certainly hope that your not referencing the PC version of L4D not having any achievements? I wonder what those 68 random things I've been given are?
I am impressed they would show a video of the horrifically inferior 360 version. What they want to promote bad graphics and shoddy controls? Left 4 Dead one already looked much worse on the 360 than PC I can only image what the differences between 2 are going to be like. I have a 360 and science forbids I ever play an FPS on it.
I must agree with some people here about the 360 version. PC version is way more bloody and brutal, limbs are coming off, you don't have to pay for new stuff, you can download a pirated torrent and check the game out - if you like it, buy it and you can play online. Also there are hundreds of custom maps and mods on PC. Also you have more control over you character, aiming with mouse is way more presice. Also the PC version have more detailed textures and effects.
@swift05 PC is better, sorry to say it. You dont have to pay for new updates or to play online, not to mention like a hundred user created maps, and quite a few of them are really good. Also, my PCs graphics make x360 look like a Wii. So it is a better version of the game.
Why do PC L4D players have to constantly insist that its better than the Xbox?... it's exactly the same for christs sake shut up. I have it for 360 and its the best game I've ever played so it can't be that bad.
Not much flowing action going on in that demonstration. I think they should of played a little better to show the viewer the full potential of run and gun zombie blaster.
that is what happens when you play FPS on the console.. can't aim for crap standing up... now try that while running. Best played with PC!
i thought they made the game with new graphics and features not some clumsy gun warfare, everything looks like the same as before, the explosions were also pale at L4D and in this one as well, how come the grenade launcher explodes in a wide range but damages in a much more NARROW ranged effect? the hell... i hope that there's more than this, and i hope they put more adjustments in game, the zombies run like the same as before and the splatters on screen is ugly, i hope they replace that XD hahaha
Looks like cr_p :S I prefer more like small arms zombie killing, like pistol or shotgun. I liked L4D1 though, but this is just selling the name goddamm
we just can't get into this. there are way too many zombies and they can get killed off way too easily. we'd rather play a "night of the living dead" over a "land of the dead". "super" zombies are a stupid and lame concept.
i can understand the appeal of this gameplay, it looks intense and fun, but the environments/models look a few years behind the times. Guess any system would be hard pressed to have that much action onscreen with a higher poly count.
I'm not buying this until they release the rest of L4D 1 ! I don't like paying full price for an unfinished game under the understanding that an expansion will be released that never comes out.
