I'm not sure if this is new, or just new to me, but twice in the last couple days I've encountered tanks that weren't tanks. Both in versus, and both while I'm on survivor. We'd hear the tank music, and no "tank" would show up. But the first time, a Spitter showed up that punched like a tank and had the health of a tank. The second time, a boomer showed up that had the health of a tank and punched people like a tank.
Pretty funny to see but what was even funnier is you could shove the boomer around like normal and when he died, he exploded bile the same way a boomer does.
It may have had something to do with people on the other team quitting out when they were the tank or becoming the tank but that's just a total guess.
Anyone else encounter this or know the cause?

I've never seen that before. It sounds really amusing though!

I saw that when The Sacrifice first came out. There was a Tank that looked like a Hunter when we opened the train car for the first time.

Hey, everyone! This store discriminates against the poor!

Probably the results of mods. They can mix and match the properties of the special infected as they see fit. Just wait until you get "jockeyed" by a witch, or even by your own survivor teammate. It's quite amusing.

The world is cruel. And the only morality in a cruel world...is chance. Unbiased. Unprejudiced. Fair.

Nah it almost certainly wasn't a mod, just a glitch. But quite funny
