League of Angels. Could be fun, but too bug-ridden to tell

User Rating: 2 | League of Angels PC

League of Angels, was a completely outstanding game when it launched. However over time this has started to fade as an ever-growing number of bugs remain unfixed.

The game allows you to choose when you start Warrior, Mage, or Archer when you great. The first fifteen levels there is very little to do but follow the storyline. As you continue on you unlock new features in the game such as gemology ( a match three game ), arena battles against other players, as well as 3 vs 3 Team Arena, and more.

The problem is as new features come in, any bugs in old features do not get fixed, in some cases features get completely ignored. The raider's function only has the first 3 levels, with more promised 'in a couple weeks'. It never occurred. The three-on-three team arena runs twice a day. The evening Team Arena has been broken five of the last seven days. ( You get 'log failed. Press F5 to refresh for some or all of the time you can take part in Team Arena each day, and F5 does not fix the solution. )

The guild events are where the game should truly shine... however this is where the game shows it's poor quality the most. The guild vs guild event, Twilight Clash, did not operate for the first 3 months the game was out. There were 'technical issues' they had to resolve, before ti was finally launched. To say this feature is broken would be an understatement. Players will often be seen running in place even though they are in reality moving across the map. This will result in someone grabbing a flag and it being 'teleported' to their shown location on the map, even though they're actually carrying it to base. Often this will result in the flag being teleported to inside the enemy base and leaving you with no actual way to steal the flag back. Other issues include flags you cannot turn in and you have to intentionally die and turn the flag over to the other team for this to be fixed so the game can continue. Lastly, there are certain situations where other players can enter into your base ( which is considered a 'safe' area from enemies ) and attack you there, as seen in this picture: http://i.imgur.com/CWFe10v.jpg

These bugs, particular the Twilight Clash bugs, have been reported numerous times, but it has now passed the six-month mark where this bug in particular has not been resolved. Add in the constant issues with team arena and cross-server crashing ( yet somehow most of the 'keeping track of players' issues Twilight Clash has dealing with people on the same server, does not happen in cross-server ) to the point they are constantly issuing 'compensation' instead of working to fix, does not help the game.

Lastly, it's been recently discovered that the newest 'purchasable' heroes in the game through House of Cards, are available for 'free' on the Chinese servers. They get many features for free, that north american customers have to pay cash to receive, which gives them a distinct advantage in the monthly tournaments that happen in the game.

In closing this game is not really worth your time, unless you enjoy dealing with a bunch of constantly breaking features. So you may be asking yourself, why are there so many high reviews of this mmo? Because GTArcade, the runners of League of Angels, recently held a contest giving out prizes to those who would come and post a positive review of the game.
