After seeing both of the movies, the Lara Croft character was very appealing to me. I've tried several versions of the Tomb Raider games on the PC and just have not been able to quite get the hang of the controls, but I took to this GBA version like a fish to water. It isn't hard to learn, but getting through the game has been challenging. You have to have a good memory about where doors and levers are, and its thrilling to successfully get Lara over chasms! My stomach actually gets a little knotted up as I brace for Lara's leaps and jumps! I particularly enjoy the fact that you don't just go through the entire game shooting everything in sight; the game also requires a combination of puzzle-solving ability and coordination. Also, as a woman who loves to game and given the relative scarcity of heroines in the world of video games, it is refreshing to have a female lead in this 3rd person adventure. This is definitely a game I have loved to take with me and just whip out to tap away on as I travel through airports or am just waiting around for the oil change to get done. I highly recommend this little treasure!
