I was very apprehensive when considering to purchase this after reading the horrible things about bugs on line. However, there are also many player reviews that indicate that the game is fun, in spite of the problems. I must agree, that the slow downs, sluggish control response, and the difficulty with some of the jumps is somewhat irritating. (Also, I'm about 3-4 hrs into the game and Laura does not run very fast, hopefully she will get an upgrade to make her faster!) However, I have found that I have become used to the control system now and am not having as much trouble. The story line is compelling and I like that the player free to pursue different tasks as you wish. The graphics are very nice. Laura looks wonderful; all the characters do, from the hooker to the boxers. Currently I'm in Paris and am very interested in getting Laura through and clearing her name. The sound is excellent. The voice acting is perfect. I enjoy being able to select Laura's responses. Suposedly the story will unfold differently depending on the responses you select. I might have to play again and select different responses. Ok, it would be nice if the controls were faster, if Laura were faster, if there was no slow down (which doesn't last long, by the way [yet]); but over all I think this game is pretty cool.
