Kurtis starts you on your path toward being a gumshoe in this Starting Block for L.A. Noire.
@RedWave247 - good for you that your girlfriend joins in. My wife who has no interest in games, just yells at me to stop playing and take care of our kids. Mind you, I only play after I help out and put the kids to bed. This is when my kids wake up sometimes and need to be patted back to bed.
Been playing this with my girlfriend watching the whole time. It's been fun because, during interviews, we'll briefly discuss whether the suspect is telling the truth or not. Or while investigating, she'll ask if I can search certain areas. It's oddly fun to have a second pair of eyes in this game.
If you like casual investigating puzzle game + heavy rain + GTA style gameplay = you will love the game.
@NEMO_O it's not you're typical video game. Just cause it has Rockstar branded on the title doesn't make it a run around free for all shoot' em up. It holds most of it's cards in a strong narrative. I wouldn't define this as a 3rd person adventure game by any stretch and is in a total other dimension when stood up next to GTA4 and Red dead, some titles you're farmiliar with im sure.
hope they release more cases for this game other then pre ordered. like i mean like at least 4. cuz this game is pretty short
@jookiyaya you have said it all :) I also have a lot of mediocre investigation :S its pretty hard some time. I love the game so far!
@ jookiyaya Agreed. This movie, I mean Game, may just be the best release so far this year. Waiting for Skyrim, BF3, or MW3 to prove otherwise.
I just wish I could play this with a keyboard and mouse... without waiting a year or two for a PC port, I mean. I don't know how anyone gets used to aiming with those thumbsticks.
I picked it up Tuesday 10:30 AM ... last I remember could NOT put it down for almost 6 hours straight. This game requires so much concentration it is a completely different game. Instead of rampage shooting or going from point A to B... you have to understand the investigations by putting yourself into Detective Cole Phelps. With MotionCapture Facial Technology, it because so surreal, you end up suprising yourself that this is still a Game not a Movie. It is so real in fact, I garauntee most legitimate gamers would try extra hard to not f*** up cases because of the many different clues and outcomes that would change accordingly. I got my first and so far ONLY 5 star report on the first case... so far afterwards its been 3 stars with some notes on what I could have done to be better. Now THATS what I call re-playability ^^
@JOKER677 Looks like you'll be waiting a while. You're better off waiting for MW3 to drop in price before this does.
