If you love retro Hong Kong wuxia movies..this one is for YOU!
If you're a hard core ancient kung fu fanboy..this one is for YOU!
If you like old school button-masher arcade games..this one is for YOU!
Grab a keyboard, a buddy, and a gamepad!! Coz your gonna throw some awesome kung fu flying kicks up in some fighter's face!!

At first glance, Kung Fu Strike - Warrior's Rise doesnt look very promising but after your felt the powerful barrage of hits and strikes, easy comboing, the awesome dragon kick, and many ancient kung fu styles later..you will be very satisfied!

The plot is standard (like in so many retro wuxia movies), there's a war ravaging at Tian Dynasty, you played as General Loh in search of the truth in the corrupted dynasty, you will come to many places and met many foes..from the Shaolin Monks, Swordsman, Stone Golems, Lady Assassins, etc..

Kung fu-ing your way to through the levels are very satisfying..the battles are very intense and fast paced, your strikes has the right "weight" and "feel" in it, chained attacks is seamless to watch and execute, and the authentic ancient China atmosphere is very well grasp by the gaming artist makes you easily immersed into the battle scenes..

Though the enemies are a bit repetitive and the AI is predictable, but on higher levels and difficulties, you can be easily overwhelmed with so many simultaneous endless 360' enemy strikes..

Buying the right stuff and new move scrolls at The Shop not only made your dear General have more flashy kung fu moves but it also proven to increase your survivability at higher levels..(summoning the Giant Guard anyone?)

Playing with a friend is doubling the mayhem! There's a coop story mode and a versus mode (the latter will unlocked after you finished the full story campaign).. Coop is granted via the same keyboard or a game pad..

So watch a retro HK wuxia movie then play this game.. and you'll feel like home.. (there's a demo if you want see some action)

Did i mention there's some developer easter eggs? see GameFAQs for further details..
