Wonderful compilation of classic arcade games.

Konami Arcade Advanced is just a wonderful compilation of classic games and translates really well on to the gameboy advanced. This package includes Frogger, Scramble, Gyruss, Yie Ar Kung Fu, Time Pilot, and Rush'N Attack. The story of me getting this game is actually kind of cool as I got it for free when I let a friend borrow my GBA and Fire Emblem for is trip to Hawaii and in the airport his brother found it lying on the ground and when my friend got back he gave it to me. Now thats pretty cool when you can get a game for free like this.

Frogger is the first game in the compilation and is pretty fun as you must simply cross a street then a river into a little safe hole thing. It seems to be pretty accurate to the original which is cool too.

Scramble is up next, and I never heard of the game until I got this compilation and its a really fun side-scroller. You simply have to bomb and shoot your way to the enemy base and eventually destroy the enemy base.

Now for Gyruss which is another game I haven't heard of and its a really simple game and somewhat enjoyable. You control a ship and can rotate around the outer edge of the screen and shoot down all your enemies to advance to the next stage similar to Galaxian or Galaga but a lot different at the same time.

Yie Ar Kung Fu is pretty fun too. Its a 2-D fighter and works pretty well. This is another game I haven't heard of, but its really fun. I heard that you could play as any of the characters if you played versus, but none of my friends have the game, so I never got to try it out, but I think it would be pretty cool. Its actually a quite good 2-D fighter, but if you like Street Fighter or Mortal Combat you'll probably think its stupid.

Now for Time Pilot which is also another game I hadn't ever heard of and actually the only game I have heard of before I got this game is Frogger. Time Pilot though is fricken awesome. You control a ship and just have to shoot down enemy fighters until you reach a boss and destroy it to advance through time. Its a fun game and probably my favorite on the compilation.

The last game on this compilation is Rush'N Attack. This is a really fun 2-D side scroller and is very similar to Contra, and is basically Contra before Contra existed. The key difference is you have a knife instead of guns as your key weapon, but you can get some cool weapons like flamethrowers and rocket launchers. Its probably my second favorite game on this compilation is its really fun and challenging.

Konami Arcade Advanced is easily a worthwhile compilation to just have as with so many good classic games its definetely worth the purchase, and if your like me you'll have someone find it on the ground in an airport for you. Basically if you've got a GBA and love retro games you should pick this one up.
