Klonoa, the new remake of the 12-year-old game Klonoa: Door to Phantomile is probably one of the small amount of remakes that retains most it's awesome gameplay and replay-value. This game has a decent amount of added goodies to keep you entertained after the main-game comes to a close.

The Good:

The game's visuals are just amazing, the graphics are wonderful for a Wii game.

The many controller options are a nice addition, it basically allows all Wii compatible controllers to play this game, my personal favorite the GCN controller.

The Gameplay is just so classic it's awesome. It's like a boxing glove to the face filled with nostalgia. except without the pain. The controls are almost flawless. The ability to grab your enemies is a great little gameplay mechanic. And it NEVER gets old because you constantly have to find new ways to use the enemies to beat levels and find new paths. Also the hover-using-your-huge-floppy-ears thing is fun, once you get your jump timing down.

The level design is nice too. There are a load of little hidden paths and tricks you need to learn before you can actually beat most of the levels. Quite a decent challenge.

The Bad:

The English voice acting isn't exactly what I would call "good" sure, it's decent, but it's not great in the slightest. I much prefer the Phantomilian voices.

It's very short, I beat it in 4 hours(NOT counting reverse mode, the extra level, or time attack), maybe a little more.

Overall, it is a WONDERFUL game. I highly recommend it. And if you are new to platformers it's a great way to start off, or maybe you just enjoyed the original and it's a great way to feel some nostalgia, either way, play this game. Probably one THE best Wii games to come out this year.
