Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil was the very first game I got, and was very well crafted for its time period, 2001, classic.

Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil was very beautifully crafted with wonderful graphics for its time period, which was the year 2001, this amazing platform game is a masterpiece to say the least, the 3-D factor was very new and usually unsuccessful for most game designers during this early era of the PS2. The story plot was also very nicely written, and although there was only one character to play with, the gameplay was diverse, constant, and overall fun. The combat system for this game was very standard and simple, but simplicity during this time period was key, and the boss battles were still fun. The environment was very intriguing, so many assets and elements were added to the terrain and stages that it made even similar rooms almost completely different. The stages were very different and were easily set apart from each other. There were also a variety of suggestive themes for players to enjoy, like an amusement park-like stage in which the player can race through a water ride or speed past roller coasters. The game also had a number of puppets/dolls and rare coins to collect, these made the player more curious and adventurous to look around their surroundings. Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil was a great combination of 2-D and 3-D factors that made the game so very amazing for its era and even now.
