Put a smile on your face :)

An hour into this game, one thing becomes glaringly obvious: This game was designed to make you smile. Absolutely everything, from the exceptional visuals to the soothing music, delightful animations to the storybook feel, its all about having fun and being happy. For example, I've never heard cuter spooky music than that in the Dark Manor level. Yes, it made me smile.

For anyone who just doesn't have the time or patience to grind through tricky and frustrating gameplay, Kirby's Epic Yarn is a real treat. When trying to assign a difficulty level, the only reason I would say "Easy" instead of "Very Easy" is due to its mini games. Story levels - a cinch. Bosses - barely a challenge. Mini games – I'm starting to choke out on the three star difficulty levels. So there is some challenge to this game after all.

Mini games also help to lengthen this adventure by quite a bit. Although most take only minutes to complete, odds are you won't be successful on your first shot (in the later ones, at least).

There is also some difficulty attached to the hidden treasure. For completionists, there may be several elusive treasures that will have you repeating levels. However, even that won't cause you to frown, as the levels are a delight to re-visit.

Co-operative play is a welcome addition, but also causes an easy game to become even easier. Rather than searching for the an enemy to throw, you just use your partner. Rather than finding the right ledge to jump off of, or balance on, just have your partner throw you.

Kirby's Epic Yarn is everything a cute, happy platformer should be: everything that makes you smile, and nothing that doesn't.
