Easy breezy (but most importantly) fun.

I've had this game for about 7 hours now and must admit that it's one of the easier Kirby games. You can breeze through a lot of the levels without much trouble. But honestly it's such a fun game that that might not matter to you. Younger players (around age 6) will find it really fun. The graphics are nice and colorful. Just about everything is given a cute aesthetic to make things attractive.

The story is very simple. The inhabitants of Dream Land live happy, perfect lives and sleep good and have awesome dreams. But this is no easy feat without the Star Rod which brings such great peace to everyone. One day King Dedede comes to Dream Land and bathes in the Fountain of Dreams. He then decides to take the Star Rod, breaking it into 7 pieces. Predictably, Kirby has to go through 7(?) worlds to retrieve them. The story is not award-winning but what Kirby game gives an enriched story? (:

The gameplay is pretty simple too. Kirby can jump, fly, do a slide kick and inhale enemies without powers. If he inhales specific enemies with powers he will take them as his own and attack at will (with the button "B"). If you are hit by an enemy though a star pops out of you which contains said power up. If you still desire that power you must retrieve it quickly for it WILL disappear rather shortly. **NOTE**: If you want to get rid of an ability that you have just press Select and Kirby will purge the power. I was trying to press every button to figure this out but finally just looked in the book.

If you've played a Kirby game where he can inhale enemies and steal their abilities then there isn't that much here that won't be of second nature to you. There are things like mini-games and multi-player things to do so your friends can join in on the fun too.

Overall, this game is definitely worth getting. The graphics (although simple) are pleasant to look at, the music is generally catchy pop-y type stuff that will be stuck in your head and the controls are VERY simple. This game is generally for beginners in video games but it's still pretty accessible to anyone.

My first review of July! Have a happy (and hopefully relatively safe) 4th of July, people!
