Canvas Curse is fun enought to be played at least once, and unique enought to be played more times

User Rating: 8 | Touch! Kirby DS
Kirby frikin' rules. While some may argue that it is too easy or too repetitive, it still is really fun, and this things can't be said from Canvas Curse, an imaginative original title that will stick with you despite its shortcomings.

GRAPHICS:
Like other games of the series, it looks great, with superb 2D animations that flow really well. Everything is crispy as it should be. 5/5

SOUND:
The music in the game is standart fare of the series: cute and bubbly, but nice, and the sound effects compliment the experience, but at times it can be a little too cute and annoying. 4/5

GAMEPLAY AND CONTROLS:
The game is a 3D plataformer. You play as Kirby, who was cursed by the evil Drawcia into a ball forme, and has to get normal again and save the land from the wizzard. It's silly, but what did you expect? It's Kirby. You don't play it for the story. The gameplay is really unique as you don't control Kirby, but the enviroment. You can touch the touch screen to draw lines that Kirby can use to travel and touch him to give a boost and do an attack. As other games in the series, you also suck powers from enemies, by attacking them, but the powers don't really help the game, as you can't control the pink ball directly, you touch him to use the power, and is kinda unecessary. The game is really interesting to play, but at times falls into more unique and advanced that fun. Don't get me wrong, it is a fun game, but not as much as others in the series. You will travel though 8 worlds with 3 levels each but the final world. It will take you about 3 hours to beat it, but the game in really challenging, and at times frustrating. The levels themselves are quite cool, with unique level designs and areas, but at times too franatic and will have you take real care not to die. 3.5/5

OVERALL:
Kirby Canvas Curse is a worthy addition to the series, and while not as fun as the traditional plataformers, it still a great game on its own, and should be played and replayed by any fan of the series.

The good:
-Innovates the Kirby formula
-Great controls scheme
-Intuitive level design

The bad:
-At times frustrating
-Sometimes not that fun

Consensous:
"Canvas Curse great controls scheme and overall style will win it to you, even if you at times will think it is more interesting than fun"
