Kingsley is a kids game that keeps you enetertained for hours.

User Rating: 9.1 | Kingsley's Adventure PS
Kingsley is another one of those games that appeared on my shelves in my earlier years and it's a game I totally appreciate. In my thoughts it is not a platformer because it feels more like Nintendos Zelda style action. It is at a nice difficulty (Well then it was) and maybe a bit short but it is one of those games where you woould like to complete again and again like Sonic Adventure.

The gameplay is pretty much up to the standard of the games in that age and I mean it is very addictive (Like Chicken Tikka Masala, mmm). It is your basic hack and slash, find keys and adventure around Kingsleys world. Ok, you have your adventure stage which is Kingsleys castle, Villages as you will get there by potholes, dungeons, bosses, baddies and puzzles. It packs a real lot of stuff so it is a very good game and you should appreciate that. The reason I didn't give the gameplay a 10 is that it had very few side quests and there shoul of been a few more as the game can be completed very quickly (Around 10-12 hours). The reason I gave it such a high score is the amount of things you can do and just the feeling of the exciting adrenaline rush you get when you clear the difficult long levels.

The graphics is very pretty for that age as it got all the toony and loony areas that you would pretty much find in a kids game. I love the colours and the graphics is near enough to Ocarina of Time style. I didn't give it a 10 because there are a few strange empty areas that look like they needed a major make-up (Mainly in Dungeons). But I gave a very high rating is because it is pretty and suits the style of the game.

The music is the best part of the sound as it gives That good old rush to finish the bosses as the music really beats you along with the gameplay. The sound is old and pretty much not that interesting at all. the speech really does your head in as it yaps away saying gobble-de-goop like Raymans language yuck. I could'nt give it 9 or 10 because the sfx are pretty horrible to listen at and the voices are horribly annoying. I gave it more of a thumbs up cause The music goes with the gameplay.

Overall a excellent kids game to play and still is fun for younger ones now. If you haven't got it and you still have your ps or ps2 buy it for your kids. Awesome game.
