Take a look at the Todd McFarlane directed trailer for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
What they said: "It is said that there is but one thing certain in this world... all that lives... must die. This is the bargain to which all must enter. One birth. One death." What they meant to say: "The world has changed... I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that was once, was lost.... For none now live that remember it." Sorry but you know you were thinking it. lol.
Nice, looks interesting, well the video doesn't show much but i think It'll have an addicting storyline, hope comes out at full.
I don't go for *names in the industry*...but for once, I have to say, I like those names a lot... Just hope it's good do...
Trailer looks mighty awesome, but I hope the developers don't forget to please, please, take their time with this game... it seems to have alot of potential. Gawd forbid we get another have baked money scheme like many, current, RPG titles (excluding Mass Effect of course *heh heh*). I'll keep on posting this on any future development concerning this game... hopefully someone will hear my sub-atomic voice (LOL).
@Majkic666 most of us aren't psychopaths who want to destroy the world in real life, so it is harder for us to relate to characters like that. The best you can do is provide that kind of choice like in KOTOR. For me personally I enjoy messing around with evil characters for a time, but eventually I tire of it because I can't actually put myself in the character's shoes. Also, I have to agree with trollkind, I am excited for this game because of the minds behind it, but the trailer didn't seem extraordinary in any way.
why are all rpg/adventure games based on saving the world or something like that? it sickens me, there should be some where the goal is to destroy the world not save it. That would be much more fun
Looks sterile and cliche, I expected something more inspired by those people than a bald, grim, muscular dude with random scars/markings on him and an armor that looks just bland. Blades of blue Light? Doesn't sell a game either these days. Only thing this trailer has going for it, is name dropping. Oh and look, at the end a really big scary bosslike demon appears! Visionary indeed.
Looks exciting. I'm excited to see R.A. Salvatore is writing for it and such talented designers and artists are contributing to the game. It's going to be phenomenal!
Everything's looks brilliant with those names on that game, until one thing at the end of the trailer.. "FALL 2011"
whoa, Todd Mcfarlane?! I am a big fan of Spawn, I own Scarlet Edge:Mandarin Spawn action figure, the first or only Asian-themed Spawn. A tease with skeletons and a big ass sword? the trailer is missing big time awesomeness, where is the beef? I mean meat, few pints of blood maybe? or maybe this isn't going for a rated M game, is it? The title with Reckoning, I am not sure if that is a good catch, so many reckoning titles already, WAR anyone? They already hired Todd Mcfarlane, why not make a game out of the medieval Spawn series? The water drops logos is cool.
I'm not exactly sure how R.A. Salvatore is involved with this game, but if he has any significant role in creating the story, it will rock. If you are a fantasy literature fan, pick up one of his books. He is the best fantasy story teller in the game, hands down. I cannot say enough how fortunate I feel to have stumbled upon his writing as a kid--defined my childhood.
That sound like the voice of the woman from Dragon Age, I think Morrgian, or something like that. Back to the game it looks good I will rent this game for sure.
Trailer looks amazing and kind of remind me of Demon's Souls. I have to see the game play, but if this game is like Demon's Souls I will buy it for sure.
Yeah a peek at the actual gameplay will either lose me or get me interested. Lots of games have good trailers. However, as a trailer it did grab me.
Yeah, great trailer but let's see some gameplay. I hope Schilling and the boys can pull this off - good rpgs are rare. I haven't routed for Schilling like this since the bloody sock game.
OH My God I already LOVE RA Salvatore's books (I'v read allmost all of his near 30 of them!) and this game looks amazing as of now
