Reckoning is a very fun game, but not if you're into story driven RPGs with depth.

I've spent around 80 hours into this game and although I enjoyed it, unfortunately I can't put it among my favorite RPGs. It was an experience like… fast-food. It's tasty but without quality. Don't get me wrong though, it's a polished and entertaining game but things like a good story, an interesting fantasy setting and memorable characters are absent in KoA. On the other hand if you're interested in great combat, building unique classes and collecting tons of loot then KoA is highly recommended.

PROS:
• A huge and very beautiful full of colors world to explore and admire.

• Great combat. Actually it's one of the main reasons to try this RPG.

• Nice fusion of classes. There are three basic classes (warrior, rogue, mage) but as you progress you can combine their talent trees to create unique ones.

• Tons of loot!

CONS:
• Cliché story, generic world (lore-wise) and boring characters. For me these are the fundamentals of a RPG. Huge minus here.

• Stupid side quests (not all). MMO based to be brief.

• It's a linear game. No matter what you are going to choose in dialogue (not that you have many choices to make!), where you'll go first or how evil or good you'll be, the outcome is always the same. You're also supposed to be fateless. Oh the irony!

• Lack of variety in enemies. A huge game world like the one in KoA could use more types of enemies. I got sick to fight the same types of monsters, over and over again. Also, the dungeons keep getting repetitive after a while.

• Very easy… For example, there is a story-based ability which can slow down time and do more damage. Also, by completing various important quests or discovering specific locations and artifacts, you gain some permanent stats boosts. Add to all these, your normal class abilities – talents, your weaponry – armory stats bonuses and you can get the idea. In the middle of the game your character is like a walking god. Maybe it's the purpose of the game, but even on hard difficulty having no real challenge isn't fun.
