Bright characters, memorable locales, and tons of great cameos and references from the Final Fantasy and Disney worlds.

Kingdom Hearts....

It is a completely unforgettable game. Great characters, who somehow seem in place amidst a vast universe of unrelated Disney stories and characters. This game is long, relatively challenging, and fun. Its about a Final Fantasy-esque character, Sora, his pals Donald and Goofy and their quest to bring peace to the universe. Sora tunrs out to be a great main character, and has some interesting friends and foes in Kairi, Riku, and Ansem. FF characters are all over, like Cloud, and younger incarnations of Tidus and Wakka.

The gameplay is nothing revolutionary-standard hack n slash with some side quests, and flying and swimming levels for occasionally variety. Most of the game consists of pounding the X buttons, but the RPG elements are deep enough to make for an entertaining game.

The graphics will look a bit dated by now, but still hold up ok. Everything has a rather smooth, animated look about it, and character models look great.

The sound is great. Voice acting is high quality, the soundtrack is very good too. It blends Final Fantasy style epic-music, and Disney tunes, which somehow works out nicely.

You can get this game for about $20. Good deal.

Overall, I love this game. You have to play it for yourself. You may seem skeptical about the mixing of the semi-mature FF series, and the Disney movies you grew up on, but in everyway imaginable they blend well. Leave it to Square. Don't be suprised if you have a few flashbacks to your childhood while playing this, if you watched Disney stuff as a kid. Reccomened.
