This game successfully introduced Disney characters into a great game. This is a great achievement!!
This game is about a boy, named Sora , who travels to different worlds with Donald and Goofy in search for his friends Riku and Kairi.He encounters Disney villains on the way and they also fight hordes of a new enemy called Heartless.He uses a Keyblade to make the Heartless disappear and also to lock worlds.
Story : This game gives the player an amazing story!! Making use of the Disney characters and actually making it work is a huge PLUS! This game is made by Squaresoft so the game is expected to have a great story.
Characters : This game has over 100 Disney characters which is cool but the characters that are focused on most of the time are characters made for the game.Sora is cool but sometimes annoying.His friend Riku is probably the coolest character in this game as he looks cool and does many things that qualify into being the best.Kairi isn't much but has a nice looking outfit.Donald and Goofy are funny at times and they wear clothes matching to their occupations.The villains in this game are great such as Jafar or Oogey Bogey.This game also has Final Fantasy characters in it!! Any Final Fantasy Fan would love to see them in Kingdom Hearts so the legends that are Cloud Strife, Sephiroth and Squall Leonhart can be great to see.
Music and Voice acting : The music is great and is different in almost every area.This game has a great opening song which makes us hyped up for this game.The voice acting in this game is amazing.The Disney actors came back to do their role.But actors such as Haley Joel Osmond and Billy Zane.
Graphics : This game was made in 2002 and the graphics at that time were one of the best on the PS2.There isn't much to say on the graphics except they were good at the time.
Game Play : This is one of the biggest points of Kingdom Hearts.The free roaming battle system makes for a fun battle with any enemy.You can use magic easily with L1.You can equip abilities to help you in battle such as Dodge or Glide which helps a lot.Outside of battle again the free roaming is great and talking to everyone is good and interesting.The only bad thing about the game play is that sometimes the camera angle gets in your way which can really annoy you.
Rating : 9/10.This game is great but the reason I didn't give it a 10 is because of the annoying camera angles at times and in the storyline there are a few cheesy bits.But overall this game is great and it makes wanting more at the end of the game.The secret ending at the end gives you a hint of a sequel.... Like Kingdom Hearts 2....
