Disney and Square team up to create a game with a fantastic story and hilarious characters.
The story is, you are Sora. You are living in Destiny Island with your two best friends Kairi and Riku. You were all living happily ever after in your little island building a raft to explore other islands. When everyone goes home, your island immediately becomes infested by this darkness. You encounter these dark short monsters called Heartless. You then get a keyblade and later learn that you are the one with the "key" to save the world.
The gameplay is kind of like God of War without the blood and grotesque violence and sex. You basically control Sora but you do have Donald and Goofy in your party but they do their own thing. You will have the option of choosing the way Donald and Goofy or your other party members behave. You can heal but you cannot order them to do something. You basically equip different keyblades for Sora and run around fighting Heartless. It's really like God of War because you don't have to fight any of the monsters, you can just run past them. Donald and Goofy will of course fight them. Although not fighting the monsters means no EXP which means you can't level up. If you choose to not fight, the only times you will have to is when you need to complete a certain objective or fight a boss.
The voice acting is excellent. If you have ever watched anything Disney you will notice that all of the Disney characters have their original voices. Yes 100% real voices and no cheap imitations. So you Disney fans will be happy for that.
You can customize your own Gummy Ship which will have all kinds of abilities. Everytime you enter a new area, you need to fly your Gummy Ship through this area. You must fly it through enough rings to go into a certain area.
You have summons such as Simba. When you summon one of these summons, they are like allies. They will help you in battle. But to summon, you can't have Donald and Goofy helping you out. Well that's it for my review. If you are a fan of the Final Fantasy Series I highly suggest you buy this because there will be a ton of cameo appearences by the FF Cast.
If you are a Disney fan, again, pick this up. There will be a ton of cameo appearences from the Disney cast. Many of them will even join your party but only for certain areas. Like you can only get Tarzan in the Jungle.
