Well, here it is the review that a lot of people have waited for from moi. I'm going to give it to you straight up with no butt kissing Bungie at all, because to be blunt. They don't deserve that from me. Halo 3 is equal to Halo 2 IMO not much has changed from Halo 2. Granted the story ended and there are different items in the game I.E. Weapons, Costumes, Items. but from what I've seen it isn't worthy of getting a Perfect 10 from me. I've been waiting almost 3 years for this release and I'll be honest I was disappointed I downloaded every special from XBL that Bungie made. And they came through about with 15% of the stuff they promised. They promised, A ending to the story and Different Music. They came through with that. They also promised some new weapons and Vehicles. They came through with that. But than came the stuff they totally dropped the ball with. Stuff like Pack Behavior they showed videos of overly aggressive Brutes one of the videos showed a brute just beating the living hell out of a marine. Did that ever happen? NO! the pack behavior was similar to the ones they used in Halo 2 with the Elites. Another promise they broke was the endless Sky. In a video they said that the sky you see you could fly in. Is that true? NO! it was about as bad as it was with Halo 2 you go over the river and instead of going forever like promised you would hit that all too common Invisible Wall. I would have expected something like this from games of previous Generations for not for a Machine I spent $399.00 on. I expect what I'm promised. The Last and one of the most major complains I have. Forge, I bet there are some Bungie Butt Kissers thinking: "Oh god he's picking on Forge may the servants of Hell kill him and make him pay for bad mouthing the lord known as Bungie." to those idiots I say GROW UP! they made forge sound like it was going to be a level editor that's one of the reasons I bought Halo 3 was the forge mode. After I played the story mode which I beat in less than 6 hours. (Pretty Sad I'll get to that soon) I hit forge surmise to say I was freaking disappointed when I found out that it wasn't so much a level editor than a Item Placement ability. That's right it's a freaking Item Placement Ability unless you like to create new floors via Cargo Containers you won't be really altering the landscape that much. I don't get it games like "FarCry" have a level editor why doesn't Halo 3? I find it extremely funny that a game (FarCry) which was released on a last generation console had that ability but a game that is suppose to be so much more doesn't? I think Bungie Dropped the ball with that. That's right Fan boys I said "Dropped the Ball" get used to the term. Now onto the Multi player. Early Rumors I heard was that it was going to be bumped up to either 32 or 64 players. Which seemed only to make sense considering if you've seen how big Sandtrap is it would make sense to have that many people but what is the amount? 32 or 64 or god forbid could Bungie actually surprise us? NO! once again Bungie dropped the ball. They kept the Limit of BTB at 16 freaking people that's right the max for a last gen game is the max for a new gen game. This is freaking pathetic Frontlines: Fuel of War also out on XBox 360 supports up to 32 players with rumors of up to 64. So why can't Bungie? I mean come on Bungie for over 5 years you were under the umbrella of Microsoft your telling me you couldn't have used some of their resources to improve your game at all? I mean come on Bungie. Give us something new. Regarding the Graphics. Granted it looks a little nice they now use the Havok engine but the Graphics aren't on par with other games I.E. Gears of War or COD4 I know it's a different game but when it looks similar to Halo 2 than there is something wrong. I will admit I'm shocked by some of the stuff in the game I seen. Sandstorms and footprints are a nice touch but for over $60 I expected more. (I purchased the limited edition) So I'll be honest if I was to pick a name for this game based on the graphics alone it wouldn't be Halo 3 it would be along the line of maybe Halo 2.5. They did finish the story as I mentioned earlier but I played it on easy and finished it in about 6 hours, I played it from the time I got it which was around 8:30 to 2:30 and it was completed. on Normal and Heroic it took about a hour more. But I mean come on 6-7 hours to beat it? Hell, I was awake longer waiting for the game than it took to beat it. Halo seemed to take the longest for me to beat than Halo 2 than Halo 3 it seems that the Halo games get shorter and shorter. And does Bungie care? Hell no they don't because if they know that we will have to buy the newer games because if we don't we'll get left out to rot. But I mean come on Bungie give us a game that takes more than a afternoon to beat. Games like Fear and COD4 took me longer granted it wasn't several days but it was long enough. Audio and Video I couldn't really tell much difference if there was I didnt notice. They did cut down on the Cut scenes instead they had active cut scenes. They only had normal cut scenes in afew select places. But they did cut a lot of it down. Another reason to add more if your not going to have a lot of videos please add some substance to give us a reason to fork out as much money as we did. So because of all of the stuff I mentioned above this is why it gets a 8.5 out of 10. It gets a M for Violence/Blood and Gore/Mild Language. So there is my review of Halo 3 now let the undersexed, over aggressive Bungie Kiss ups flame me. We all know Halo 3 could have been more. So bring your best shot.
