A shallow, confusing adventure

I was really happy to finally get another kingdom hearts game, but i lost my PSP, i found it and now i have the game, but it is really different from what i expected. You start off as a character called Ventus, sadly the story just doesn't seem right, i mean, they take exams to master the keyblade, i feel like it shouldn't be an object you go to school about, but a mysterious weapon that was thrust into your hand. The game's story may be strange and confusing but the gameplay is descently good, it's nice to be able to equip abilities, upgrade them, and meld them to create another, more powerful command, but it is probably one of the worst ideas ever to force the player into playing a board game to gain descent abilities, imagine having to play a whole game of monopoly every half an hour just to get that one spell. The boardgame is extremely confusing and the rules are vague and unclear. Also, along with the strange new characters come a new species of enemies, the unversed, i really don't get these things, it gives no explanation for how they were born, like did they want to fight someone? or did they never verse someone in a game? But my number one hate is there are NO disney characters with you, i miss Donald and Goofy screaming and casting spells and throwing weapons everywhere. So i don't really reccomend this game.
