I'm not familiar with the original SNK fighting games or the series'. However, I know my fighting games, and I know what I like. The recent game released for X-box wasn't stellar by far. But I ask, why didn't this game make it to X-box. The graphics and animations and lighting effects on this game are terrific. There is slow down however, but I can get past that. There are a good amount of characters to choose from off the bat. There are quite a few unlockables also. The control is pinpoint perfect. Pulling off moves is quite easy and the level designs are great with interactive backgrounds like what's found in Tekken. I'm very impressed, and no like I said i'm not an original fan of the series, but I'd rather pay $40 for this instead of $55 for MK Deception because atleast this game you can pull off moves.
