A player wields a lightsaber and uses the Force.
Cool! And it looks like you can grab some toy lightsaber and use that as a lightsaber! This game might make me buy a kinect, cause at first it looked just like the wii and a little different, but nev mind now!
Oh, do better, LucasArts...please do better. I realize this is just concept video but the concept trailer for Force Unleashed was sooo much better. This one almost takes a "Clone Wars"-style approach to the art and design.
this game and forza 4 are the only things that may save kinect because until now i am realy disapointed with it =X
Looks like it could be pretty cool, kinda odd that the stormtroopers run right up to him but whatever, no one said stormtroopers were geniuses.
Bummer, we have to wait till December for this one :( I really hope this one turns out nice. My friend is working on it and he says it is looking really good so far.
@KCBugeater you came to a review of star wars kinect and then complained about star wars geeks.....mwahahahhahahah hahahahhahahaa
Could some of you be bigger Star Wars geeks? Get out of your parents' basements and get a life. It's a game and it looks like it could be pretty cool.
Wow my second day playing with the Kinect I thought to myself how awsome a starwars jedi game would be on it and now its coming to life cant wait to find out more.
why is there a seperast starfighter in the game along with stormtroopers? i'm pretty sure George Lucas would never let that happen.
@campbell153 It looks smooth. But I'm pretty sure the Xbox would pull this off, just like the PS3 and (obviously) the PC. If you look closely, these graphics are very cartoonish and enemy animations are very stiff so the Wii would probably be able to pull off something quite similar too.
After owning/playing Kinect this game is very "DOOABLE" and if lucas arts / UBI can pull the controls off this will be the Definitive Jedi Experience!
no offence... but either the xbox has a new graphics card the game play was pre-rendered... it looked way to smooth to be xbox in-game
I think its more likely that this is a concept demo to show how it could work with the franchise. Everything i've seen with the Kinect now seems to be improving on the footage of the big relese stage show, as far as im concerned Microsoft moving in the right direction. Im sure we'll see some terrible uses for the kinect but some amazing ones aswell. Me personally looking forward to see how they use Kinect with something like this.
So you do a Force dash to move forward? I can see this working. Especially with all the in-game bodily motions being done. I wish there were a video to allow us to see how accurate it tracks the player's movements.
