- The Bottom Line:
- "Disappointing"
If you ever wanted to be a real Jedi and wield a Lightsaber in your hands, you will be disappointed with this game. It does look fun but it really isn't. Your Lightsaber doesn't swing where you want it to. Using the force is not so easy and it's hard to know who your going to hit. Kinect Star Wars was a big disappointment for me and here's why. Although, it's not all so bad and there are enjoyable moments. Here's my review of Kinect Star Wars.
Story: You start the game as a Padawan and you train using your Lightsaber and force powers. Then you learn how to jump and move forward etc. This is a great and enjoyable moment but in a few seconds, it get's really tiring. The story is a little good but not good enough for people to actually keep playing the game. The Story get's an overall score of 5/10
Multiplayer: Playing with a friend by your side is always fun even in this game. You can have some really incredible moments and some laughter with your friends. The Multiplayer get's a 7/10
Graphics: The graphics is pretty terrible for an Xbox 360 game but for a Kinect game, it's pretty good. It's a little cartoony though and I find it ruins the graphics. I give the graphics a 6/10
Gameplay: The Gameplay in Kinect Star Wars is where the real disappointment is. Controlling the Lightsaber is really not accurate. Every movement you make is slow. Also, there are so many cut scenes and it's very difficult to tell if your playing or not. There are different modes in Kinect Star Wars. So are just bad and boring to play but there are some that are really enjoyable. For example, playing as a Rancor is amazing and is probably better than wielding a Lightsaber. The Dance-offs are just silly. Some of the music doesn't even fit in with "Star Wars". Other game modes like Duel of Fate, are really boring. The Gameplay overall kind of sucks. I give it a 6/10
Overall: This game is bad but that doesn't mean people won't like it. I'm sure kids will really enjoy this game especially playing as a Rancor. If you really want to try this game I recommend renting it first. The force is NOT strong with this one.
Real Score: 6.0
