It's funny how most of the people on here that are "dissing" the KINECT are also the same people who have NEVER played it! The whole XBox vs. Playstation vs. Nintendo thing has made people so judgemental in defense of the system they prefer, that it also makes them narrow minded when it comes to exploring new ideas. Get your lazy a$$ez off the couch and try it for once. I'm 34 yrs. old and there's some games on there that literally get your heart racing and make you sore!

Take the hint microsoft, this shouldn't have been a kinect game and i won't be getting this unless there's use of a standard controller involved as originally proposed. With that said, kinect looks as though it would suit other types of game
@PS2fweak "6.5 is a bad score." Actually 6.5 is a FAIR score according to Gamespot's rating system. 3.0 - 3.5 would be considered a "bad" score. Just click on the link "About the rating system" under the score to check this for yourself.
What's wrong with some people?! 6.5 is a bad score. He literally said the only real problem with the game is "Kinect". How is that cutting a game slack? Kinect is the only way you can play the game! Now, a lot of people have decided not to buy the game and/or kinect. It definitely doesn't make MS look good. I just don't get some people's logic. Where is he cutting the game slack? When he says the game would be "ok", only if he could use a controller, instead of the new $149.99 peripheral MS is trying to sell?! This is the worst undercover marketing campaign ever... tsk-tsk MS
Im so tired of hearing people say, "oh MS must have paid them to do that." Give it a rest already. You guys are as bad as conspiracy theorists. Most reviews are pretty fair and accurate if you actually listen instead of just looking at the score.
Imagine playing Gears of War or Call of Duty like this. That's right you don't even want to.

Wow, they are really cutting these Kinect games some slack. If it wasnt a new peripheral that needed positive support, these games (see, fleeting distractions) would be lambasted.
@mad_krips Hardware needs time to be utilized , remember when the wii came out it brought with it a shocking roster of motion controlled games.
@ Incubus420 I don't think Microsoft would pay someone to say that the kinect game would be better with a controller then with motion contol.
looks like a great game....emphasis on looks. Too bad you cant play it using a 360 controller. Kinect looks too imprecise to be very good.
my uncle let me play his kinect but we ended up playing mariokart in the end..... need more games befor i shell out for kinect.
@smelly555 actually, if you look, it said it would have been better with a real controller, which is a shortcoming of the Kinect as well as the game. If the Kinect was as good as its supposed to be, they wouldnt be expressing any desire for a real controller. i think that @eal-zubieri is correct
After a tiring day at work, college or school, do players really want to have stand in front of their tv striking poses? Give me a comfy sofa and joypad every time :)

the bad score that you see is because of "bad control" which means that kinect could not deliver(failed) a proper experience to people while playing this game, if i were microsoft i would release the game with both kinect and the reguler controller support(like sony did with their move games).

"Well I know this is an JRPG, but there is no levelling up system to speak of, but we're not going to criticize it that fact." "I know this game is crawling with bugs. I wanted a bug free experience, but I'm not going to judge it on that." The entire basis of reviews is to point out what games are lacking.
It's a pretty big criticism when they say a game would work better with a controller...when it was designed for the Kinect.
Honeslty...you guys are reviewing Kinect games...Really? No games for PS Move got video reviews. How much Is M$ paying Cnet to get these reviews up and in our faces.
Primus103 - I understand the point you're making, but at the same time Kinnect is supposed to be the next evolution in game control. If the game would be better suited to the controller, then it essentially means the Kinnect is failing in that respect. Again, nothing to warrant a Kinnect purchase here.
So Kinect isn't shaping up to be the hype a lot of xbox fanboys here said it would be. Apart from Dance Central all these games seem to be more shovelware.
Not saying the game is good or bad, but giving it less score because you can't have the option is using the controller, is not very fair. It's a kinect game, so rate it like a kinect game. GAmes should be reviewed for what they are, not what they don't have.
My decision is made.These launch titles are reminding me of Wii Sports.A device to show the capabilities of the new hardware,with some fun games,but in the end,it wasn't THE reason to buy a Wii.Until I see bigger games that show how the peripheral can be used in a practical way in long games,I'll save my $150,and play my 360 games the normal way.C'mon Microsoft,interest me.Make me your brother.
