I got as far as 8 minutes before my constant "GET ON WITH IT" monty python thoughts made me hit 'stop'... or should I say, I was going to skip ahead, but the buffer had already decided that I wasnt to watch the video. And the player doesn't allow skipping past bits not yet downloaded unlike youtube.

What sells me with the Playstation is their acceptance of Blu-Ray. Once you see something on Blu-Ray...it really is no comparison to DVD. But Blu Rays are twice as expensive as DVD's.
But the Xbox 360 was cheaper than the PS3 because of the BD player, right? But why would anyone buy a 60$ game on the 360 when it's offered in Blu-Ray on the PS3? I suppose it's a trade off between being constantly charged, as opposed to a large up-front charge.
Reminds me of Playstation Network vs. Xbox Live.
I read another article a few weeks ago stating that the PS4 WILL be backwards compatible all the way to PSx games - someone got the wrong info. I don't own a PS3 and it looks like I won't be getting a PS4 either - why the hell would I pay 600.00 for something that lacks the one thing I need the most - backwards compatibility? F U Sony. I was excited about it until I learned the truth about it.
Let me get something straigh heret: If is wasn't about the fact that I just got the YLOD in my face I could have played with my ps3 another 5 years and have still so much fun in doing so. I bought my ps3 with the mgs4 bundle ps2 ps1 backward compatibility.

Now Sony and that big PS4 press conference is building up gamers to think about buying the ps4 before it's even out, tested and good to go. I hope they frikkin get straight with manufacturing their new "incredible" ps4 systems with THE FRIKKIN BEST quality materials/hardware. I will remember what happend to my ps3 and hope sony will not make the same mistake twice, they better not.
I have never been so underwhelmed by a next-gen announcement conference. Oh, wait. Wii U.

When I first heard about watch dogs, I just brushed it off. However, after seeing the preview here, I might consider buying it!

Its funny the only reason I stuck with Xbox was because of bungie's Halo now that they have left, Halo is not the same. Now that bungie is not blinding me, this year I will be watching xbox and playstation to see what the actual best overall console is. I wanna feel like a kid wanna I turn my system on
My ps3 doesn't get used that much as I tend to play my high end pc. Looking forward to ps4, not only is it great for the console world but also for PC especially as it uses PC architecture. The sudden leap in quality of gfx and playablility that comes with a new console generation will find thier way to pc even easier.

besides the actual PS4 announcement its self there was nothing else exciting about this, there was nothing else to write home about

1 Like regardless of all the hate going on I am hyped about the ps4 and looking foward to many of the new games/ideas like Destiny, DriveClub, and deep down. It's time for new ideas because the casual 1st person shooter call of duty style games are getting old to me. Good job Sony
this share button seems unique...i would hope though that there is a recording device, the only time i'd want to share is if i did something by chance that was amazing it would suck if i missed that opportunity all because i had to hit share first

well guess we will see what it has to give in time....
but im a PC gamer lol. ill wait until PS4 makes a few version updates because the first one always has hardware issues
