Killzone Shadow Fall Review - the casual gamer

User Rating: 5 | Killzone: Shadow Fall PS4

I am a newcomer to the Killzone series.

In fact I bought my first PS3 6 months ago and traded it in for a PS4 just recently.I picked up this game after reading rave reviews about the graphics. And while the graphics are pretty good, I don't think they are ground breaking and jaw droppingly good.

In fact, I think even the graphics on Watch Dogs is better.

However, coming from an unbiased and personal experience after playing the game of Killzone Shadow Fall, I must say I am greatly disappointed overall with the gameplay, the level designs, storyline, and yes even the graphics.

I just finished this game 30 minutes ago, and I can't tell you how many times I had to redo a level over and over again cursing at my screen and turning off the PS4 to get away from the stress. And I consider myself a casual gamer!

It's beyond fustrating and there is no real satisfaction even after beating these horrible designed levels.

Games are meant to be fun. I expect to come home after a long days work and enjoy my 1-2 hours of playing Killzone like how I enjoy, Watch Dogs & NBA2k14. But this game fustrated and angered me to the very end.

Bottom line is, this game is not fun. It's neither evolutionary or revolutionary. It's gameplay actually takes many steps backwards.

Games like Doom, Counterstrike, Battlefield, & many more should have taught these gaming companies to avoid certain types of mistakes when developing a game. There is probably an unwritten general guideline on how to build a "decent" FPS game, however the creators of Killzone Shadow Fall seem to have completely ignored these so-called guidelines and built a heavily flawed game that is incomplete.

Even a casual gamer like myself is left fustrated
