KIllzone Mercenary is the shooter that Vita owners have been waiting for.
The game features a contracts mode that extends game play by tasking the player with the responsibility of completing certain objectives. By completing these contracts the player is giving additional money to purchase weapons, grenades, armor and abilities. The money system is great as it's shared between the single player and multiplayer. This means all the money and unlocks earned via the single player campaign is available in the multiplayer and vice versa.
The multiplayer in Killzone Mercenary offers plenty of replay value. There are only 6 maps to speak of but considering how fun the game is, it will take awhile before most gamers get bored with them. There are three modes that round out the multiplayer. All of them are your standard affair, deathmatch, team death match and warzone.
All and all, if you've been waiting for a FPS to play on your Vita then this is the game for you. It doesn't offer anything that hasn't been done before but it does offer a near console experience on a handheld.
