Great game just finished it. Had it for like a year never played it so decided i should hurry up and play it and finish it. Was quite good except the cutscenes were annoying, i love cutscenes but these ones were just very very corny and kind of childish, except they swore a few times so i have no idea what audience they were aiming at. Not to mention the audio was not in sync with the acting. And the action is the cutscenes skipped around so much it was like a cheap hollywood movie with all the effects and last minute escapes.
@Fatal-Chaos I bought into the hype and pre - ordered the game and all that jazz,and didn't play for the longest either.The cutscenes and storyline was very bothersome indeed.The gameplay was where it was at for me once I dismissed the storyline.I hope the next iteration (if there is one) strives to better the story.
good game! The Multiplayer was awesome and the majority of the single player is fun! Shame the story is awful and told awfully! I would give it a solid 8/10, the graphics still give me goosebumps
Amazing graphic, generic plot and bad gameplay. That applies to all killzone games. Sad...
This is probably the most underwhelming game in the series. KZ2 was so much better. There is great action and cutscenes (at least when the audio is actually in sync with the animation) but there were so may flaws I found. This is all single player observations. I made a list: -Allies would revive me in front of enemies and I would get killed again immediately. -Allies wouldn't take cover (idiot AI). -Allies would cross in front of me while I was shooting. -I experienced some lag and hit detection flaws while shooting. -Can't move in cover while reloading (I would get killed because of this sometimes because I couldn't reposition myself). -Being in cover didn't mean you were safe. Constantly got killed while in cover. -All enemies shoot at the player as soon as he is visible to them. And I mean all enemies. If an enemy is shooting an an ally NPC they will stop shooting at them just to shoot at you even if you are much further away. -Enemies take a lot of damage and have auto aim. -Weak protagonist. The player dies too easily considering the previos two points. -No sense of power in vehicles. Even when you have friends in similar vehicles you feel alone because you have to do all the killing. -Cannot command allies. This would have been huge. If I could have NPC's advance I wouldn't have gotten shot in the back quite as often. -Sixaxis sucks. This is old news so why did they add it to a new title? It was cumbersome and didn't add anything fun to the gameplay.
I'm not a big fan of FPS but I tried the demo on PSN and it really is awesome.There's alot of details its fun to play and the jetpack works great.
I grabbed this today and am loving it... it seems like a good substitute because I never had enough money for BF3
@thebigfatkill Killzone is the Flagship FPS for Sony since Guerilla games is an exclusive developer for Sony. Insomniac for the other hand is independent. Sony only holds IP for Resistance 1 - 3. I t wont be long for a Resistance game to appear hopefully in a 360 console or in the next XBOX console. Enjoy!
Sony really needs to decide what is going to be their flagship premiere first-person-shooter. Killzone 3 and Resistance 3 are amazing games, but they have these tiny flaws in story/co-op that detract it from being able to compete with Gears and Halo.

Story isnt as bad as the review makes it out to be. Its decent not terrible. @Nexus_Gage its pretty awesome, seems more refined and balanced.
Thanks for the comments guys for letting me know that it is better than K2. I really loved K2 but I think I will love to have little extra story attached to it. So guess my wallet will feel lighter in few minutes :) Cheers!
1 Like Killzone 2 and 3 was all hype. The camapaign was ultra linear. No interactive environments or anything fun. Just shoot down a narrow path to cut scene to cutscene. The cutscenes are not even good like Metal gear Solid cutscenes. They are boring and the characters are so 1 dimensional. This game was over really fast as well. I don't recommend anyone pay full price for this game. Though it was a good buy at 15 dollars though and the gunplay is very good.

FPS should have 2 review scores = campaign/multiplayer (This system will be the fairest) I'll give 10 to MP and 8 to the campaign = best MP out there!
I like- New guns,awsome atmospher,more cover,great vocie acting,action,and more. Dislike-Story cutscenes.

So the story is why he complained so much and gave it a lower score, but then Mario Galaxy 2 gets 10 even though it has NO story? I love how Mario just has a "Get out of Jail Free" card when it comes to story.
Haha, a whole slew of new Kevin VanOrd reviews to watch is an unexpected benefit to go along with my new PS3. This guy just nails it, as far as I'm concerned.
In my opinion this game still has the best graphics out there but it did lose some of its realism when they added all of that color to it.
Killzone 3 is one of my favorite games but imagine what it could of been if it had been polished more.
This game should be a 9 out of 10! Bad company 2 and this remind me alot of each other. Bad company 2 had no co-op and the story was ok just like this but that got a 9 and so did killzone 2 and to be honest this game is a step above both of them, but battlefield 3 ftw!
I spent hours on both Killzone 2 and 3 and I can safely Killzone 3 is better. Killzone 3 improves on all of the flaws found in Killzone 2; that is to say long load times and the Vsync delay you got in movement. The campaign is indeed straight from a movie script but what modern fps doesn't have that nowadays? Killzone has never had a strong story but it's better then it has been before, the campaign isn't cringe-worthy or bad as suggested here, it's alright but the multiplayer is where it excels. My only complaints are that the menus are rather bland when compared to Killzone 2's (character selection and main menus), the lack of Killzone 2-esque boss battles in the campaign and that Rico and Sevs faces aren't always as polished as they were in Killzone 2's cutscenes. I'd argue that's likely because the game amazingly manages to look better then Killzone 2 but is running without the long load times.The pros far outweigh these niggles. My major personal issue is that Corinth Crossing wasn't remade for Killzone 3... Any PS3 owner who has more then a passing interest in fps games should pick this up.
