Overall a great game. I bought this game looking for something else other than Black Ops, and it didn't disappoint.
First off the online portion:
This game has a different feel than CoD. At first, I treated this game like i did CoD. I grabbed a gun and ran into the heat of the battle expecting to get 45 kills with 4 deaths........well I soon learned this game takes skill to play lol. This game takes teamwork to win which I really like. The classes are pretty much balanced IMO. The only thing i would do is swap the sniper's assault rifle with the engineer's SMG, and it would be perfect. You have to give this game a chance, and once you get the feel of things and what your enemies are doing, you will do good. Play for the objective and not just your K/D ratio and you are more likely to get more level up points. I really enjoy the online portion of the game.
Campaign:
The campaign is pretty decent. It is co-op split screen which is always a plus. The story is alright, but could have been better. It has a lot ( I mean A LOT) of cut scenes which puts a damper on the actual game play. Me and a friend could be slaying Helghast left and right then all of a sudden we are watching a cut scene. KZ4 better lay off the cut scenes a bit. A couple other things is the story is quite short, it is lacking boss battles and it's lacking online co-op. It isn't terrible by any means, just could use more work. The split screen option really saves the campaign.
Botzone:
This is a alright mode to play to get to know the online maps, but other than that it gets old. This mode needs split screen co-op really bad. The campaign is co-op, but how many times are we supposed to beat the campaign before it gets really old? It's always fun to relax with friends, drink some cold beer, and play some games. But this game mode doesn't offer that. It serves a small purpose...to practice the online maps (with the exception of the jetpack online maps).......but after that I feel it is a wasted game mode. I would give this game a 9.0 if botzone was like Killzone 1 with all the customization's and split screen.
The game overall is a good game plus the graphics are some of the best iv'e seen. It is a very good online game, while the rest of the game needs some work. In my opinion, it is worth a try.
