A solid sequel and a great shooter.
Killzone 3's graphics are pretty darn good all round but to some extent seem fairly much identical to its predecessor Killzone 2. This identicalness comes in all forms and while there have been some improvements to the graphics engine there isn't really much that is new.
Killzone 3's gameplay is solid and features some nice additions over Killzone 2 but for the most part the basic formula of running and gunning still applies. For starters players can now wield 3 weapons with the third weapon being a heavy class weapons like a sniper rifle, missile launcher or even a heavy machine gun. This new feature is quite handy in that it gives players more options in firefights. The final new feature is that in certain levels players can have another character revive them so long as it is either Rico or Narvil. This helps ease some of the frustration over certain levels but at the same time they can only revive players 2-3 times on a single life before they can't revive and players have to start the level over from the nearest checkpoint. On top of this there is also the problem that players have to be where the AI characters can get to the player to revive them. So while this new feature is a good one it does have its limitations as well.
Killzone 3's audio is solid and sounds great. The voice acting features some returning voice actors as well as a few new ones.
Overall Killzone 3 is a solid game with plenty of holy cow moments and is an all round solid shooter.
