This is what we get when a game is made for 5 years.
The graphics in Killzone 2 are jus phenomanal. The detail in every little object such as shadows, weapons, rails, your own characters hands, and many more little things that are forgotten are well polished in this game. Not to mention the amazing physics. Such as the way you walk, explosion, jumps, and anything else that requires movement has great physics.
The story is not a forgettable one in the least, you travel through different environment on the planet Helghan, whether it be through a large city, a narrow corridor, a desert area, or storming the beaches.
The weapon selection in this game is not very large, but the upside to this is the best weapons I have ever seen in an FPS. A great sniper rifle, the best I've seen in a war game. The shotgun is just amazing. You wouldn't want to use a different one. The SMG is fast firing with ideal power. The LMGs are just as they should be. The assult rifle offer decent range, power accuracy, and weight. Just as they should.
The online is excellent, and in my opinion better than the online of any
Call of Duty game. There 15 ranks in this game, all with nice rewards with them. As you rank up you will recieve badges, and weapons for your use in the online community. But the fun doesn't stop there. When you recieve a badge, you will use the badge to it's ability as it says to in the unlocks section, and you will unlock a secondary badge to use. i.e revive 10 teamates in one game 8 times, and you will unlock the secondary medic ability to trow health kits to aid yourself or teamates. Same rules applie for some weapons, to unlock a better sniper scope get 10 kills with it in one game 8 times, ect. There are many medals and badges to unlock, all with great rewrds. A bodycount (a verient of team deathmatch) metal will give you extra points for every kill you recieve in Bodycount, ect.
This game is just flatout great and a must have for any PS3 owner.
