Great immersive multiplayer with excellent graphics will keep you coming back for more.

User Rating: 8.5 | Killzone 2 PS3
I was overwhelmed by the graphics in multiplayer mode. Blowing dust, shadows, smoke are like nothing I have seen in other shooters. The weapons are well matched and the leveling is good. I like the large scale maps and the non-stop gameplay. No sooner has body count ended then assassination begins. Little time to rest between sets. Entering multiplayer is seamless and the ranking is well thought out.

Some reviewers have complained about the sluggishness of the controls however this is designed in and is the first game I've played that adds the inertia of the mass of the weapon your aiming. If you've ever shot a rifle you know they can be heavy and cannot be moved like a styrofoam toy. This adds a degree of player leveling, which I think is better than most shooters and my experience seems more fair and enjoyable than in shooters like COD where your opponent can aim a heavy gun at you as easily as he can a computer mouse. Now that I am used to it other shooters seem a little trite and artificial in comparison.

The story mode left me a little puzzled since I did not know why I was attacking the planet, but knew I needed to kill their leader. Maybe I need to play KZ1 to understand the background, however the mission was pretty clear and the levels were not repetitive. Trying to find emblems and intel along the way were a distraction and seemed like an unnecessary add-on to the game, so I abandoned looking for them by the 3rd level and focused on the missions which is enough to make this a great game.
