Namco's new third-person tactical action game will force you to think strategically to outwit your enemies.

Namco is working on a new military-themed tactical action game called kill.switch for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. The game will feature 18 levels spread across six different missions, with environments ranging from deserts in the Middle East to an underground submarine base. kill.switch won't be just a straight run-and-gun action game--enemies will respond to your moves and coordinate their responses accordingly, so you'll have to plan out your strategies carefully to outwit your opponents. Namco says that the AI enemies in the game will be able to work together intelligently, seeking out cover and executing team maneuvers.

kill.switch features an "offensive cover system," and although no description has yet been given of this feature, one assumes from the name that it will allow you to easily return fire while taking cover behind structures and objects. "Blindfire" is another new feature that will allow you to enact a frontal attack on your enemies while somehow avoiding their return fire.

It seems that kill.switch will be capitalizing on the recent popularity of real-world military action and strategy games while bringing some new features to the genre. We'll bring you more media and information on this new game as soon as it becomes available.
