Kid Icarus

A classic that I don't want to revisit.

I never played Kid Icarus when it was on the NES. I kinda missed out back then. Turns out I didn't miss out on much. I downloaded it after playing SSBB because Pit made me interested in it.

To me the game is brutal, and the fact that it runs off the Metroid engine does not redeem it to me. The difficulty is through the roof. To me the game is not as deep or interesting as Metroid. I'm not sure what the appeal is (sorry Kid Icarus fans).

It's not that I don't think something can be done to revitalize the series (such as a WiiWare remake or sequel with updated graphics, the ability to save, and a choice of levels of difficulty).

I don't think the game is awful, but it's definitely not my cup of tea. I think my Nintendo Points would have been better spent elsewhere...I'm not going to try Ice Climber just because they are in SSBM and Brawl if you're wondering.
