    With friends:

You have to exchange friend codes with random people you meet online because god help you if you can even have 1 real life friend that actually has the game. Anywho, the friend mode is basically "with anyone" except with more rules and some knowledge of who you're playing.

But there's still no chat system, voice or text. Well, at least you can post on the thread you got the whippersnapper's FC and pray he responds within the next 4 days.

Which brings me to my next point: the actual "with anyone" mode, good LORD.
No communication, no voice, no text, nothing. not to mention the FFA is forced to have 6 players.

You're basically playing bots. Sometimes I wonder why I play online so much when all I'm really doing is killing computers. At least in Brawl's "with anyone" you have taunt battles every other game so you can at least TELL they're humans...

And to top it ALL off, there's not even an IRC chat for Kid Icarus like there is for Brawl (allisbrawl & brawlfriendcodes)

am I the only one that's appalled by this online?

how is not having friends w/ the game the game's fault

so "with anyone" should be dumbed down instead.

But there's still no chat system, voice or text.

I fail to see a problem here

    fair enough

At least in Brawl's "with anyone" you have taunt battles every other game so you can at least TELL they're humans...

you wanna know if you're playing bots? well, how about looking at their names?
    crazy I know

how is that the game's fault?

Conduit 2 by HVS for the Wii had a good voice chat system, but was very "buggy". I doubt this game could even survive voice chat seeing from the extreme lag you get with 6 people/bots. Would wreck the online experience dramatically.
