Video Review - Kentucky Route Zero

wow for 1) I live in Kentucky and I got to say "what the heck did I just watch"...2) my name is Joseph, and no I don't sit around at a gas station -_-

Still don't get it...

I think the review could use some work Kevin.

I get that it's sort of shallow but you didn't give us any kind of feel for the game.

Even the genre isn't obvious and you didn't exactly make it obvious.

How peculiar. I watched through the review and still I have a too vague impression of the game. But I've started to wrap my mind around the fact that must be how it's meant to be. As the previous commenter, I was failing to grasp what the game is about, hence my second watch of the review. I realize now that, well, really, it's just an adventure. I've gotten unaccustomed to them not involving high thrills and action, but this does still count as an adventure, by the looks, and sounds, of it. The story is apparently still very vague in its underlying concept, but if this is only a introductory chapter, that makes sense. So in the meanwhile, it's an adventure of exploration, with puzzles and problems to solve and people to meet, adding to that the character weaving.
For an indie, this is rather captivating to me.

This looks very interesting. However, I watched this entire review and still have no idea what you do in this game. This sort of inadequate description is unexpected from Kevin.

Its looks pretty interesting almost as just kinda like mood peice where you just play for the atmosphere and story. I do really like the atmosphere as it invokes feelings of driving through the highways of mid west late night with my father. I do wish there was some sort of "gameplay mechanic" to add some depth. I guess you have to look at it more like "going for a drive" or "taking a walk" then "playing a video game".

Woah. That's deep.

Yet another genius indy game unfolding.. These are good times :)

Looks really cool.. I want to try this game.

The graphics and atmosphere look incredible, but looks kinda boring, and with so much dialog they really do need some speech.

I love the ghost story atmosphere, not knowing who's real, and it ends on the perfect note because of this tension. I actually quite liked creating Shannon's character without knowing not much background, it gave a chance for player expression. 

If you're expecting challenging puzzles, this is not the adventure game for you. They even state this on their website: "Gameplay is more focused on characterization, atmosphere and storytelling rather than clever puzzles or challenges of skill". Exploring on the road brought some moments that other players might not have, like discovering the road accident, or realizing Conway had a previous life as a roof repair man.

Seems to me like a preview would have been a more appropriate way to gain this title exposure. Hold the review off until all the chapters have been released.
