A combination of strange and awesome.

Katamari Damacy is one of the strangest games I have ever played. It was originally from Japan and has its own unique style. The story is your father, The King of all Cosmos, destroyed all the stars in the sky one night when he was drunk. So he sends you, the prince, down to earth to make new ones. You do this by taking your Katamari(a large weird looking ball) and rolling it around, collecting things as you go. You can only roll up things that are smaller than your Katamari. Controls are very easy, you use the two analog sticks to steer and L1 and R1 to look around. That's it. The sense of scale in this game is amazing; I went from picking up thumbtacks to rolling up skyscrapers. The sheer amount of objects and their placement is what also makes this game fun. I may not know why the road is covered in pizzas and umbrellas, but I do know that there is a pattern to them. The music is very catchy and I found myself singing along to it while playing the game. There are only two things that take away from this game. It is too short, I was able to beat the game in a day. The other thing is the camera, sometimes it gets hard to see where you are going with the Katamari. Other than that the game was perfect. I defiantly recommend this game to anyone who wants to try something new.
