If you liked the graphics and style of the old Prince of Persia games, you'll enjoy Karateka. Karateka is a karate style fighting game that takes place in a fortress. You play the protagonist, a white robe wearing karate black belt. Your woman has been kidnapped and is being held inside an evil fortress. Your goal is to fight enemies in succession, until you reach the boss at the end. After defeating him, you rescue the girl. The graphics are what really stands out in this game. This game was made in the early to mid 80's, yet the graphics are on par with games that were made a half a decade later. The game is, however, relatively short. You have one life, with hit points. If you lose all your hit points, you're done. The enemies get progressively harder and harder, but once you establish some basic techniques it's not too difficult to beat the game.
