Not a brainless button-masher, JLH brings the popular faces of DC Comics to light with custom gameplay for each Leaguer!

JUSTICE LEAGUE HEROES is a worthy first entry in what could be a long lived and very successful RPG franchise. While the story and gameplay can be enjoyed by those only casually acquainted with the characters those who have followed the comics or most especially JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED will receive added layers of enjoyment.

One of the games most standout features are tehe superpowers and design of each of the legendary Leaguers. No two are the same. Superman "feels" like Superman; Wonder Woman "feels" like Wonder Woman and so forth. Also it was great that Superman and Wonder Woman's physical stats differ greatly from those of say Zatanna or the bad@$$ unlockable Huntress.

The sounds and music are especially rich and really jazz up the gameplay. You get an extra kick out of using Superman's heat vision, Wonder Woman's lasso, Green Lantern's constructs, and so forth. Crank up the sound effects and enjoy!!!

The game's best feature though is the requirement of strategy. You won't be able to make it through just randomly pushing buttons especially on the games higher settings. You will need to strategize based on the particular powers and strengths of your team.

Another aspect I enjoyed was how the bonus costumes and such added to the elements of gameplay. AND how they did all new animations for each. They cut NO corners on the visuals and sounds. I loved the dialogue and special moves taken from the JL show!

Faults of this first effort include a lack of choice and absence of side mission or just training settings because brainless button mashing IS fun too. Also why have three Green Lanterns who are less than the main one when a Vixen or Captain Marvel would have been so much cooler??

Hopefully the next installment will keep the awesome strengths of this one--including the structured story and EXCELLENT cinematic cut scenes--while adding to that a greater number of side missions, puzzles (I only remember one of these on the Flash and Green Lantern mission and it was cool).

All in all, there is MUCH to enjoy with this first installment. Snowblind did a fantastic job! I can't wait for the sequel!
