This was actually really fun. Bought it. Will likely keep it for good.
Now I played Ultimate Alliance, and I can see everyone's arguments stating that it is better, and I do agree, barely. This game was surprisingly long, the character choice, or lack thereof was not quite elaborate, but there were plenty of options to chose from as well as costumes for several of them. The leveling system is pretty good. The powers are cool with an abiity to upgrade the specifics of each element of your character. It differs from UA in that you can upgrade your speed, fighting abillty, & etc. where as UA only allows you to upgrade your powers. It is strikingly different in that only two of you at a Time are playing, and frankly that's fine.
The save element in this game is better and more often. Almost too often are you allowed to save and bring back to life anyone you lost.
The additional challenges are just nutz, making the cheat codes look very attractive, but with little reason to really want to go through them. When did Superman get all angry like? Gonna go kick his 'a@#'? Really? Batman is the bad boy Clark, your'e the pretty boy.
